Another week, still waiting. . .

So, another week has passed since the last rumination. I am struck by how hard waiting can be. With the upheaval in the routine of daily living it seems as if we've all be relegated to waiting:
Waiting for the lock-down to end. . .
Waiting for the cases of Covid19 to trend downward consistently. . .
Waiting for the supermarket shelves to be re-stocked. . .
Waiting for the packages to arrive that were not deemed essential shipments by Amazon. . .
Waiting for school to resume. . .
Waiting for work to resume. . .
Waiting for the gym to open. . .
Waiting for the barber to open. . .
Waiting for the next public health recommendations. . .
Waiting for church to open again. . .
For me I'm also waiting until I can open NW Pioneer DPC Family Medicine Clinic (July 20, 2020). Kind of a shameless plug in the middle here.
I'm throwing out a challenge today, however, that with all the waiting already being done, start focusing on what we shouldn't be waiting on:
Don't wait to connect or reconnect with friend and family. . .
Don't wait to re-establish faith, especially now. . .
Don't wait to purposefully do something good each day. . .
Don't wait to set goals to improve yourself. . .
Don't wait to learn something. . .
Don't wait to live. . .
I do have some more practical day to day thoughts as well which I'll share next week. I'm thinking of small businesses and the strains they will be under as we are re-opening in the coming weeks. There are many options to take care of your health care needs and those of employees with huge potential savings. More to come. . .
